Whiteless Pike Above Rannerdale
Oil on Canvas. Visible from the Crummock Water road is the short valley of Rannerdale. Here is my first painting from the location though I soon intend to work there again as there is much to take in. The entire valley turns into an astonishing blue in spring and is a popular draw for tourists and locals. Photographic socieries run field trips such is the visual attraction. After drinking in the heady colours I like to get up to the surrouding tops and although of modest altitude Whiteless Pike is one of the few lakeland peaks with a sharp pinnacle, at least from this aspect.
